Private Bar FAQs

Sorry, it is not a private club. It is a 100% natural bar soap designed for your most delicate private area. We decided to call it Private Bar to clearly differentiate it from other regular soap.

Private bar is designed to elevate your personal hygiene routine. If you want brighter & softer skin down and under, minimize ingrown hairs and bumpy skin, and maintain a healthy microbiome balance for your vulva, then Hygiene Hero Private Bar is for you.

It really varies by person and their conditions. We have customers who told us they saw brighter skin in three days and some said they saw less ingrown hairs immediately after their first shave using our products. But it’s safe to say it takes about two weeks of continuous use to see results. The key is ongoing maintenance. Over time, you should notice fewer ingrown hairs, softer and smoother skin.

Unusual vaginal odor happens from time to time. Even when you’re taking good care of your body and your vagina, you may experience unfamiliar smells. What’s not normal is persistent or strong odors.

A healthy vagina’s typical scent may best be described as “musky” or “fleshy.” A menstrual cycle might cause a slightly “metallic” scent for a few days. Intercourse may change the smell temporarily. If you notice a stark difference in your odor, then you may be experiencing a sign of a potential problem.

Several factors can affect vaginal odor, including:

  • Hormonal changes: Fluctuations in hormone levels throughout the menstrual cycle, pregnancy, perimenopause, and menopause can impact vaginal odor.
  • Hygiene practices: Overwashing or using harsh soaps, douching, or excessive use of feminine hygiene products can disrupt the natural balance of bacteria in the vagina and affect its odor.
  • Infections: Bacterial vaginosis (BV), yeast infections, and sexually transmitted infections (STIs) can all cause changes in vaginal odor.
  • Sweating and moisture: Increased sweating in the genital area, such as during exercise or hot weather, can contribute to changes in vaginal odor. Excessive moisture or wearing non-breathable fabrics can also create an environment where bacteria thrive, potentially affecting odor.
  • Sexual activity: Intercourse can temporarily alter vaginal odor due to changes in pH and the introduction of new bacteria. However, a persistent unpleasant odor may indicate an underlying issue.
  • Diet: Certain foods, such as garlic, onions, strong spices, and excessive caffeine or alcohol consumption, can influence body odor, including vaginal odor.

Practice good hygiene is the most important thing. Don’t use perfumed soaps or body washes. The scents and chemicals may upset your vagina’s natural pH. Use warm water so it is more gentle.

Make sure to wear underwear made of breathable fabric. Otherwise, it is better to switch to 100% cotton because you don’t want excess moisture that can upset your natural bacteria levels and lead to infections.

Probiotics, which are good-for-you bacteria, can help maintain the pH balance of your vagina. Probiotic-rich foods include yogurt, kombucha, and unpasteurized sauerkraut.

Maintain a healthy diet. Aim to eat a balanced diet with plenty of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins. A balanced diet makes for a healthy body, and that includes your vagina.

Stay hydrated. Drinking plenty of water is good for more than just your skin. It can help your vagina’s overall health, too, by encouraging healthy sweating and fluid release.

Avoid douches and scrubs made of chemicals. You might think they’ll help eliminate bad bacteria, but they also eliminate the good bacteria. Let your body work out the bacteria ratios and skip these unnatural washes.

Wash your genital area before and after intercourse. Sex introduces bacteria, as well as foreign substances like lubrication and spermicide from condoms. Wash before and after sex to help maintain natural bacteria levels.

Cut out tight clothes. Clothes that are too tight don’t let your vagina and groin area breathe. Getting plenty of oxygen is vital to good vaginal health.

The vulva’s pH balance affects vaginal health because the vagina and vulva have slightly different pH levels, which play crucial roles in maintaining a healthy environment. The vagina typically has a slightly acidic pH (around 3.8 to 4.5), while the vulva usually has a slightly more neutral or alkaline pH.

When the vulva’s pH is imbalanced, it can lead to changes in the vaginal pH, making it less acidic. This shift can disrupt the natural balance of beneficial bacteria (Lactobacilli) in the vagina, potentially causing an overgrowth of harmful bacteria or yeast, leading to conditions like bacterial vaginosis or yeast infections.

To maintain vaginal health, it’s essential to maintain good vulvar hygiene and use pH-balanced products that respect the natural acidic environment of the vagina. If experiencing my issues, consulting a healthcare professional is advisable for proper diagnosis and treatment.

A healthy pH balance for the vulva typically falls within a slightly acidic range, which is around 4.5 to 5.5. This slightly acidic pH helps to maintain a protective barrier and supports the growth of beneficial bacteria that promote vaginal health.

It’s important to note that the pH level can vary slightly among individuals, and some factors like hormonal changes during the menstrual cycle can influence the pH balance. However, if the pH level deviates significantly from the healthy range, it may increase the risk of infections or discomfort.

To maintain a healthy vulvar pH, it’s essential to practice good hygiene, avoid using harsh soaps or products that may disrupt the natural balance, and wear breathable cotton underwear. If you have concerns about your vulvar health or experience any symptoms, consulting a healthcare professional is recommended for proper evaluation and guidance.

Some essential oils have antimicrobial and antifungal properties that may help reduce and eliminate bacteria. But never apply essential oils directly to the skin without diluting them first in a carrier oil. Even diluted, essentials can still be irritating to the vaginal area. Therefore you must be careful when applying it.

Douching is washing or cleaning out the vagina with water or other mixtures of fluids. In the United States, almost one in five women 15 to 44 years old douche. According to US Department Health & Human Services, doctors recommend that you do not douche. Douching can lead to many health problems, including problems getting pregnant. Douching is also linked to vaginal infections and sexually transmitted infections.

Douching can change the necessary balance of vaginal flora (bacteria that live in the vagina) and natural acidity in a healthy vagina. A healthy vagina has good and harmful bacteria. The balance of bacteria helps maintain an acidic environment. The acidic environment protects the vagina from infections or irritation.

Douching can cause an overgrowth of harmful bacteria. This can lead to a yeast infection or bacterial vaginosis. If you already have a vaginal infection, douching can push the bacteria causing the infection up into the uterus, fallopian tubes and ovaries. This can lead to pelvic inflammatory disease, a serious health problem.

No. You should not douche to try to get rid of vaginal odor or other vaginal problems like discharge, pain, itching, or burning.

Douching will only cover up odor for a short time and will make other problems worse. Call your doctor or nurse if you have:

  • Vaginal discharge that smells bad
  • Vaginal itching and thick, white, or yellowish-green discharge with or without an odor
  • Burning, redness, and swelling in or around the vagina
  • Pain when urinating
  • Pain or discomfort during sex

These may be signs of a vaginal infection, or an STI. Do not douche before seeing your doctor or nurse. This can make it hard for the doctor or nurse to find out what may be wrong. For more information, visit U.S. Department of Women’s Health website.

Yes. All Private Bars are gentle enough for face and vulva, and strong enough for the body, except for Exfoliating Cranberry Private Bar, which is not recommended to be applied directly to the face. Therefore, if your male partner or husband wants to use it, they can, too. In fact, we have many customers telling us that their husbands secretly use their wife’s Private Bars because they love them so much. It will help prevent ingrown hair for them and leave the skin soft and hydrated after shaving, just like it would for you. However, cranberry seeds have a gentle scrubbing function, so it’s advised to go gentle when using Exfoliating Cranberry Private Bar.

Yes, Private Bar is designed for your vulva but it is also gentle enough for the face and strong enough for the body. Exfoliating Cranberry Private bar is very effective in removing deodorant residue on armpits or dry skin on elbows. Daily Ritual Oatmeal Private Bar is so moisturizing that it leaves your body soft after cleansing.

All Private bars are 100% natural without any artificial fragrance, colors, sulfates or parabens. Daily Ritual Oatmeal Private Bar and Calming Triangle Private Bar are super gentle and nourishing so they are also recommended for kids. However, Exfoliating Cranberry Private Bar has a gentle scrub function so it is recommended to be used on kids 6 years or older. Perfect Pause Private Bar is also safe for children but it contains many plant extracts with anti-aging benefits, which are harmless but unnecessary for children.

To avoid ingrown hairs, you can follow these steps:

  • Avoid tight clothing as much as possible: Wear loose-fitting clothing to avoid irritating the skin and causing ingrown hairs.
  • Exfoliate regularly: Gently exfoliate the skin to remove dead skin cells that can clog hair follicles and lead to ingrown hairs.
  • Use proper shaving techniques: Shave in the direction of hair growth to avoid cutting the hair too short and causing it to grow back into the skin.
  • Moisturize regularly: Keeping the skin hydrated can help prevent ingrown hairs.
  • Don’t pick at ingrown hairs: Picking at ingrown hairs can make the condition worse and lead to infection.
  • Consider hair removal methods: If you are prone to ingrown hairs, consider alternative hair removal methods such as waxing or laser hair removal.
  • Keep the skin clean: Wash the skin regularly to remove dirt and oil that can clog hair follicles and lead to ingrown hairs.

Anyone who shaves, tweezes, or waxes their hair can develop ingrown hairs. If you shave often, you’re more likely to have ingrown hairs. You’re also more likely to have ingrown hair if you have skin of color or thick, coarse, or curly hair.

Hyperpigmentation refers to an increase in melanin, the pigment that gives color to the skin, which can result in dark patches or spots on the skin. The causes of hyperpigmentation include:

  • Sun exposure: Prolonged sun exposure can increase melanin production and lead to hyperpigmentation.
  • Hormonal changes: Hormonal changes, such as those that occur during pregnancy, can increase melanin production and cause hyperpigmentation.
  • Inflammation: Inflammation, such as that caused by acne, can increase melanin production and result in hyperpigmentation.
  • Skin injury: Trauma to the skin, such as cuts or burns, can trigger hyperpigmentation as the skin heals.
  • Certain medications: Some medications, such as tetracyclines and phenytoin, can increase the risk of hyperpigmentation.
  • Age: As skin ages, it can become more susceptible to hyperpigmentation.
  • Genetics: Some people are genetically predisposed to hyperpigmentation.

It’s important to protect the skin from sun exposure and to avoid picking at acne or other skin conditions to reduce the risk of hyperpigmentation. There are topical prescription medications such as hydroquinone that can help to lighten hyperpigmented areas, but we don’t recommend that for delicate areas such as vulva.

We recommend a more gentle approach with Exfoliating Cranberry Private bar to resurface new skin layers and even out skin tone gradually.  And our V.V. Oil contains natural plant extracts that can help brighten the skin gradually. We don’t promise overnight results but we have customers who wrote to us and told us that she saw her dark skin in her inner thighs become brighter after using our Private Bar Duo for three days. We are always very excited to hear feedback like that!

It is important to follow these steps to minimize the risk of irritation or injury:

  • Use a gentle, unscented soap or intimate wash: Avoid using harsh soaps or exfoliating products that contain harsh chemicals or synthetic fragrances.
  • Avoid heavy scrubbing: Cleanse the area using a gentle, circular motion with gentle exfoliators that are not sharp.
  • Be gentle. Avoid using harsh scrubs or loofahs, and instead use your fingertips or a soft cloth to exfoliate.
  • Limit exfoliation to two to three times a week: Over-exfoliating can cause irritation and dryness, so limit exfoliation to once a week or less.
  • Hydrate the skin: After exfoliating, it is important to hydrate the skin by applying a gentle moisturizer without synthetic fragrances.

The vulva has its own natural protective mechanisms in place to maintain its health, and it is important to avoid disrupting the delicate balance of bacteria and pH levels that help to protect against infections. That’s why it is important to natural gentle soap or feminine wash.

If you experience any discomfort, itching, or redness, stop immediately and speak with a healthcare provider.

All of our bar soaps have a light foam because heavy foam can be very harsh on your skin. Most foamy cleansers contain very harsh or irritating ingredients like sulfates (SLS, Sodium Laureth Sulfates), which can cause a range of problems, from redness and inflammation to itching and flaking. Surfactants disrupt your skin’s protective barrier and make your skin more vulnerable to bacterial infections and acne, etc. Foam makes the pH so high, the lipids in your skin’s protective barrier break down. When that happens, skin becomes all dry and sensitive.

The squeaky clean feeling after washing with foamy cleansers is actually a psychological effect. Not seeing the big white foam with a light-foam or no-foam cleanser doesn’t mean your skin is not clean. It just means your skin’s protective layers are not stripped. Our bars are full of antimicrobial and antifungal properties from safe essential oils and natural emollients from plants. They keep your skin protected during cleansing. But you can be sure that your skin is clean after using our bars without the big heavy foam.

There is significant concern surrounding synthetic fragrances due to the potential health risks associated with them. Studies have shown that many artificial fragrances contain chemicals that can trigger health issues such as allergies, headaches, and even more severe problems like hormone disruption, reproductive harm, and cancer. These chemicals, often undisclosed, can interfere with the body’s neuroendocrine and immune systems.

For instance, in a study conducted by the National Institute of Health (NIH), hundreds of chemicals used in personal care products containing synthetic fragrances were linked to an increased risk of allergies, cardiovascular diseases, and developmental problems. As the study highlights, these chemicals can exacerbate chronic conditions and, in severe cases, promote cancer.

Given these findings, many eco-conscious brands, like ours, avoid using artificial fragrances. Instead, we prioritize natural fragrances that are free from petrochemicals to ensure our products are safe for both consumers and the environment.

Super Deo FAQs

The uniqueness of our formulas is that we don’t simply rely on fragrance to mask the odor. The key is to stop the odor from forming to begin with. First, we use a combination of Zinc Ricinoleate, a powerful natural deodorizing agent, potato starch and arrow roots to absorb the sweat and trap the odor. Then, we use a unique fermented postibiotic blend to create a healthy microbiome balance for the skin to minimize the odor. Then we use only the natural fragrances without any petrochemicals and potential hormone disruptors or carcinogens to provide a fresh luxury scent.

Unlike traditional deodorants, it doesn’t contain aluminum, silicone, silica, or petroleum-based ingredients like ozokerite. We use Zinc Ricinoleate, a highly effective deodorizing agent that won’t clog pores or interfere with your body’s natural detoxification process. Then, our innovative postbiotic blend helps balance your skin’s microbiome, fostering a healthy environment that minimizes odor production altogether. It also contains potato starch and arrowroot powder to absorb sweat, while mandelic acid works to prevent skin discoloration. Enriched with mango seed butter, shorea seed butter, and hyaluronic acid, it nourishes and softens the skin, even after shaving. Best of all, it’s versatile—you can apply it anywhere on your body, and it doubles as a body fragrance balm, using only natural, non-disruptive fragrances. Because it is a waterless formula, it does not need any artificial preservatives.

Antiperspirants work by using aluminum compounds to block your sweat glands, stopping the natural sweating process. However, blocking sweat isn’t ideal as it prevents your body from regulating temperature and detoxifying through sweat. Deodorants, on the other hand, neutralize odor without interfering with your body’s natural functions. Aluminum has been linked to health concerns, including potential breast cancer risks and Alzheimer’s, although more research is needed. We avoid aluminum to let your skin breathe naturally and function as it should.

Synthetic fragrances often contain phthalates, which are hormone disruptors. Many synthetic fragrances contain more than just phthalates—common carcinogens and hormone disruptors often found in these fragrances include:

  • Benzene derivatives: Some synthetic fragrances contain chemicals derived from benzene, a known carcinogen, which can be absorbed into your body through skin contact.
  • Parabens: These are preservatives used in many cosmetics, including fragrances, that can mimic estrogen in the body, leading to hormonal imbalances and potential links to breast cancer.
  • Toluene: A solvent often found in synthetic fragrances, toluene can affect the central nervous system, potentially causing dizziness, headaches, and even long-term reproductive harm with prolonged exposure.
  • Formaldehyde-releasing agents: Some fragrances release formaldehyde, which is a well-known carcinogen, into the air over time.
  • Synthetic musks: refers to a group of man-made compounds that mimic the scent of natural musk, which was originally derived from the glands of animals such as deer. Over time, synthetic alternatives became popular due to the ethical concerns and limited availability of natural musk.
    • Synthetic musk is widely used in perfumes, cosmetics, and other fragranced products like laundry detergents and air fresheners.
    • Synthetic musks are believed to be endocrine disruptors, meaning they can interfere with hormone function in humans and animals.
    • These compounds have been found to accumulate in human fatty tissue and breast milk, raising concerns about long-term exposure. Once they enter the body, they can remain there for extended periods.
    • Synthetic musks are highly persistent, meaning they don’t break down easily in the environment. They have been detected in water bodies, wildlife, and even in the atmosphere, raising concerns about pollution and ecosystem damage.
    • Contamination of Waterways: Due to their use in products like laundry detergents, synthetic musks are often washed into water systems, where they can affect aquatic life and contribute to water contamination.

By opting for natural fragrances in our deodorant, we ensure you’re not exposing your skin and body to these hidden, harmful chemicals that are often unlisted due to lax regulations on “fragrance” labels. You can safely apply it to delicate areas like pulse points without worrying about endocrine-disrupting toxins.

Ozokerite, or earth wax, is a petroleum-based ingredient often used in cosmetics. Aside from its questionable environmental impact due to fossil fuel extraction, it can also clog pores and disrupt your skin’s natural functions. We avoid ozokerite in our formula to ensure your skin stays clear, healthy, and breathable.

Silicone is often used in skincare and deodorants to create a smooth texture, but it can form a barrier on the skin, trapping dirt, bacteria, and sebum. This can lead to clogged pores and skin irritation. Over time, silicone-based products may interfere with your skin’s natural renewal process, which is why we avoid them in our formula.

Zinc Ricinoleate is derived from castor oil and is an odor-neutralizing agent. It traps and absorbs odor molecules, preventing them from becoming noticeable, rather than masking odors with heavy fragrances. It’s gentle on the skin and highly effective in keeping you fresh without disrupting your body’s natural sweat process.

While baking soda is a natural ingredient, it has a high pH level, which can disrupt your skin’s natural acid mantle. This can lead to irritation, redness, and even rashes, particularly for those with sensitive skin. Our deodorant avoids baking soda, using gentler alternatives that still effectively neutralize odor.

Although magnesium is often used in natural deodorants for its deodorizing properties, it can be too alkaline for some skin types, leading to irritation or dryness. That’s why we focus on using zinc ricinoleate and plant-based ingredients that are kinder to sensitive skin.

Potato starch has excellent moisture-wicking properties, absorbing sweat more effectively than alternatives like tapioca or corn starch. It’s also less likely to cause skin irritation or leave a sticky residue, making it the ideal ingredient to keep you feeling fresh without compromising on comfort.

The detox period is a crucial part of transitioning from aluminum-based antiperspirants to natural deodorants. Here are a few things to expect and tips to make the process smoother:

  • Increased sweating: Since antiperspirants block sweat glands, your body may initially overcompensate, producing more sweat than usual. This is temporary and should balance out as your sweat glands regulate.
  • Increased odor: The bacteria on your skin may have a stronger smell as your body detoxifies. During this period, your sweat glands expel the aluminum and other chemicals that had built up over time. We recommend washing your underarms frequently and reapplying deodorant as needed.
  • Skin sensitivity: Your underarms may become more sensitive as they adjust to sweating naturally again. Wearing breathable fabrics and avoiding harsh shaving products can minimize irritation during this time.
  • Acne or clogged pores: Initially, you may experience some clogged pores or pimples in the underarm area. Gently exfoliating once or twice a week with a natural scrub can help unclog pores and accelerate the detox process.

Top Transition Tips:

  • Detox your armpits: Consider using a natural clay mask or charcoal scrub on your armpits to help draw out toxins and ease the transition.
  • Stay hydrated: Drinking plenty of water can help flush toxins and keep your skin clear.
  • Dress lightly: Opt for loose, breathable fabrics, especially during the detox period, to avoid excessive sweating and irritation.

Expect the transition to take about 2 to 4 weeks, depending on your body. Once through this period, you’ll find your body better regulated, with reduced odor and a natural, healthier sweat response.

Yes, our Super Deo can help prevent ingrown hairs. Here’s how:

Super Deo contains skin-nourishing ingredients like mango seed butter and shorea seed butter, which moisturize and soften the skin. When the skin is hydrated and supple, hairs are less likely to curl back into the skin, which is a primary cause of ingrown hairs. Additionally, the gentle exfoliating properties of mandelic acid (a natural alpha hydroxy acid) help to remove dead skin cells, clearing the way for hairs to grow out smoothly, rather than becoming trapped under dry or flaky skin.

By keeping your skin smooth, hydrated, and lightly exfoliated, Super Deo reduces the likelihood of ingrown hairs forming, especially in areas prone to shaving or friction, like the underarms, bikini line, or between thighs.

Sweating is a natural and healthy bodily function. It helps regulate your body temperature and can be a sign that you are exerting yourself physically or experiencing heat. Sweating also plays a role in eliminating toxins from your body.

The amount of sweat produced by an individual can vary due to several factors, including genetics, physical fitness level, body size, and overall health. Here are a few reasons why some people may sweat more than others:

  • Genetic factors: Each person’s body has a unique number of sweat glands, which are responsible for producing sweat. Some individuals naturally have more active sweat glands, leading to increased sweating.
  • Fitness level: Regular exercise and physical fitness can contribute to increased sweating. Well-conditioned individuals tend to sweat more efficiently, as their bodies adapt to regulate temperature more effectively.
  • Body size: Larger individuals may sweat more due to the fact that their bodies have a larger surface area, requiring more sweat production to cool down.
  • Hormonal factors: Hormonal changes, such as those occurring during menopause, can result in increased sweating.
  • Environmental factors: Hot and humid weather, intense physical activity, or exposure to heat can trigger increased sweating in most individuals.

It’s important to note that excessive sweating beyond what is considered normal (hyperhidrosis) can be a medical condition and should be evaluated by a healthcare professional.

We use paper tubes for our Super Deo because minimizing plastic consumption is a crucial step in reducing the environmental impact of the beauty industry. Every year, billions of plastic containers are produced for cosmetics, and unfortunately, many of them end up in landfills or the ocean, taking hundreds of years to break down. Plastic waste not only pollutes ecosystems but also poses a serious threat to marine life and human health through microplastic contamination.

By choosing recyclable, biodegradable paper packaging, we aim to reduce our contribution to plastic waste and encourage more sustainable consumption. Every small choice to eliminate plastic helps, and we are committed to being part of a movement toward a cleaner, healthier planet.

We understand that paper tubes may not be as sleek or convenient as plastic containers—they can occasionally stain or get frizzy at the edges. However, we believe that this small inconvenience is worth the bigger environmental benefit. Plastic takes hundreds of years to decompose and is one of the biggest contributors to pollution worldwide. While paper tubes may require a bit more care, they are biodegradable and significantly reduce the harmful environmental impact caused by single-use plastics.

By choosing paper packaging, you’re not just making a choice for your body but for the planet as well. We all play a part in protecting the environment, and even small actions like opting for eco-friendly packaging contribute to reducing plastic waste and conserving natural resources.

The odor associated with sweat is primarily influenced by the presence of bacteria on the skin. When you sweat, especially in areas like the underarms and groin, bacteria break down the sweat and produce compounds that can cause an unpleasant smell. Several factors contribute to why some people’s sweat may have a stronger odor:

  • Apocrine glands: Certain areas of the body, such as the underarms and groin, contain apocrine glands that produce a thicker type of sweat. This sweat contains more proteins and lipids, which bacteria feed on and break down, resulting in a stronger odor compared to the eccrine sweat produced by other parts of the body.
  • Bacterial activity: Each person has a unique combination of bacteria on their skin, and some types of bacteria are more prone to producing odorous compounds when they interact with sweat.
  • Diet: Certain foods, such as garlic, onions, and spices, can contribute to stronger body odor when their aromatic compounds are released through sweat.
  • Hormonal changes: Hormonal shifts during puberty, menstruation, and menopause can affect sweat composition and odor.
  • Personal hygiene: Inadequate hygiene practices, such as infrequent showering or wearing unwashed clothes, can allow bacteria to multiply and contribute to stronger body odor.

While body odor is a natural occurrence, good hygiene practices like regular bathing, using antiperspirants or deodorants, and wearing clean clothing can help manage and minimize any unpleasant smells. If you’re concerned about excessive or persistent body odor, it’s a good idea to consult a healthcare professional.

  • Maintain good personal hygiene: Take regular showers or baths using mild soap and warm water to cleanse your body. Pay particular attention to areas prone to sweating, such as the underarms, groin, and feet.
  • Use an antiperspirant or deodorant: Apply an antiperspirant or deodorant to clean, dry underarms to help reduce sweat production and mask odor. Antiperspirants can help control sweating, while deodorants help neutralize odor.
  • Wear breathable clothing: Choose natural, breathable fabrics like cotton or linen that allow air circulation and help wick away moisture from your skin. Avoid tight-fitting clothing that can trap sweat and bacteria.
  • Change clothes regularly: If you sweat excessively, consider changing your clothes frequently, especially when they become damp or sweaty.
  • Wash sweaty clothes promptly: Don’t let sweaty clothes sit for too long before washing them. Washing them promptly can help prevent the buildup of bacteria and odor.
  • Manage stress: Emotional stress can trigger excessive sweating. Employ stress-management techniques such as exercise, deep breathing exercises, meditation, or engaging in activities you enjoy helping reduce stress levels.
  • Watch your diet: Certain foods and beverages, like spicy foods, garlic, onions, and caffeine, can contribute to body odor. Reducing their consumption or avoiding them altogether may help reduce body odor.

If you have persistent or severe body odor that is not easily controlled by these measures, it’s recommended to consult with a healthcare professional. They can assess your situation, identify any underlying causes, and provide appropriate guidance or treatment options.

Vipstick Serum FAQs

Vipstick is a truly multi-functional intimate care product with the following key functions:

  • Plumps up labia and clitoris
  • Restores suppleness and elasticity to aging skin
  • Stimulates clitoris with an instant warming sensation
  • Boosts circulation to enhance libido for an instant arousal
  • Immediately hydrates and relieve itching, burning, and dryness
  • Protects delicate skin from friction
  • Reduces discomfort during intimacy
  • Soothes and calms irritated & chafed skin
  • Helps maintain a healthy microbiome balance
  • Evens out skin tone and mitigates hyperpigmentation

Vipstick Serum is not lubricant. It works differently from lubricants. The conventional lubricant is really designed to help make it “easier for men” that works mechanically by simply providing slipperiness. Vipstick Serum is formulated with women’s health and pleasure in mind.  It plumps your labia, boosts blood flow, and heightens sensitivity, and the boosted circulation helps stimulate natural lubrication from the inside to offer an elevated level of intimate joy.

In addition, it is also a skin-nourishing serum with collagen and powerful plant-based nutrients.  It hydrates, moisturizes, soothes, and helps release stress.

Vipstick Serum is not a lubricant. Coconut oil and traditional lubricants do not provide the same benefits as Vipstick Serum, such as increased blood flow and heightened sensitivity.

Many women don’t realize that the benefits of a set of fuller “lower lips” are beyond skin deep. The labia shrink with age. A set of fuller “lower lips” are not only aesthetically pleasing but it also helps enhance intimacy. Their main functions are to protect the vagina and urethral openings from mechanical irritation, dryness and infections. They also help stimulate the vestibule and clitoris during intimacy. Therefore, a set of plump labia helps make intimacy more enjoyable.

You can use Vipstick Serum on a regular basis for skin nourishment and dryness relief. (It has peptides for collagen boost and elasticity enhancement, many plant extracts for antioxidants and skin-brightening, and hyaluronic acid for hydration). Just be aware that you will feel a warming sensation because it boosts blood circulation very effectively.

We suggest you use Vipstick Serum on yourself for your own arousal first and let it stimulate your body to lubricate naturally from the inside first. Then, Vipstick Serum will be mixed with your own body fluid and your partner will enjoy the benefits from it that way. Or use Vipstick mainly for foreplay and see how your partner feels in the beginning before penetration. As long as you don’t over-apply, it shouldn’t “overheat” your partner’s genitals. Our suggestion is to start slow and see how much the right amount is when you use it with a partner. And keep in mind, everyone responds to a product differently, so you need to test it when you have a different partner.

We have customers that told us that she uses it on her partner too, however Vipstick Serum product was designed with women’s needs in mind, and we didn’t test this product on men.

If your partner is male and is interested in applying the product directly on himself, we suggest he do a small test first by apply a tiny bit of Vipstick and massage it on his skin and see how it feels. If there is no negative reaction or burning sensation, then he can apply it on the sensitive area. And if it feels good, then apply a little more and then go from there. But again, we didn’t design this product for men so these are not hard rules and are only suggestions.

Vipstick is designed mainly for your labia and clitoris. Yes, it can be applied on toys but we think it would be a bit wasteful because you will get most of the products on the toy instead of your skin, and the effect you get from the product residue on the toy will be diminished unless you put more products on it.

The clitoris is the most sensitive part of our body with 8000 nerve endings in our clitoris (the male part only has 4000 nerve endings) and the skin there is very delicate.

No, this product does not contain soy, any estrogen, or hormone-altering ingredients.

Although Vipstick Serum is designed for external use, it is safe to ingest in trace amounts. You or your partner may ingest a trace amount of Vipstick Serum during oral sex and that’s totally safe. In fact, our Vipstick Serum is 98+% natural, packed with natural emollients and plant-based antioxidants and botanical nutrients and is safer than most regular lipsticks on the market that are filled with artificial dyes, synthetic fragrance and artificial flavors.

We now offer six flavor options: First, three in the Classic Collection: Unflavored, Chocolate Strawberry and French Vanilla; and three in the Fruity Temptation Collection: Juicy Peach, Pina Colada and Strawberry Smoothie.

The unflavored ones do have a slight taste of the natural plant oil, so for oral sex, we recommend the flavored options for extra delight. You can find all six choices of Vipstick Serum and detailed description of each flavor Complete Vipstick Serum Collection.

We only use natural flavors. We never use synthetic flavors, so you and your partner can safely enjoy the extra fun and delight without any worries.

All of our Vipsticks have no added fragrances, however you can smell the scent from the flavors of the flavored formulas. Those scents are from the natural flavors in the formula.

When you lick your own lips, or someone kisses you passionately and gets all your lipstick in their own mouth—that is a trace amount.

This unique formula contains a proprietary 3xP Bio-Complex:

  • Clinically proven Peptide Complex plumps up labia and increase elasticity
  • It contains a clinical-proven neurotransmitter that releases neuropeptides to activate sensory neurons and increase blood circulation.
  • It creates a warming sensation from the increased blood flow to the genital area, and naturally makes you aroused, heightens the sensation, enhances your libido, leading to the production of vaginal lubrication, making your vaginal opening and labia more moist and ultimately enhancing intimate pleasure.
  • Proprietary Plant Extracts including White Mulberry, Turmeric & Camu Camu, Ashwagandha to brighten skin, reduce stress and reduces the appearance of lines and wrinkles
  • Fermented Postbiotic Blend helps maintain a healthy microbiome balance
  • Hyaluronic acid, Mango Seed Butter & Shorea Butter soothe, hydrate and promote skin elasticity
  • Each Vipstick should last 90–120 applications, assuming each application is 3–4 swipes. This has taken into account the cleaning before and after each use.

We agree that hygiene is paramount for anything applied to our intimate areas. Please follow the detailed instructions provided on our packaging.

Remember to clean the tip of the stick BEFORE and AFTER each use to by wiping the top with a clean tissue to ensure that any product that has come into contact with your skin is removed and that you are applying a fresh layer of the product to your skin every time. These steps will help ensure a positive experience with our product.

Vipstick Serum is a skin nourishing pleasure primer for your vulva, designed for topical use only. It does not fall under medical treatment or over the counter category and does not require FDA approval. We would also like to add that Vipstick Serum is a 98+% natural formula. You can see the complete ingredient list on the Hygiene Hero website by simply clicking on the Ingredient Tab (below the product description tab), but let us share it here as well:

*ONLY IN THE FLAVORED VIPSTICK SERUMS

We use the highest quality clean, safe and clinically proven active ingredients and they cost a lot more to make than mass intimate care brands. Our Vipstick Serum is a highly-concentrated waterless formula and a little bit goes a long way, so each application only needs 3–4 glides of Vipstick Serum to get the effect. Each Vipstick serum contains approx. 90 applications so each application only costs $0.39, so it actually offers a great value per use.

In addition, we encourage you to sign up on our website for our newsletter to receive a 15% discount code for your first purchase and stay tuned for major holiday promotions, which often offer great savings.

Vipstick Serum is an anhydrous balm (doesn’t contain water). It doesn’t have a pH value as it cannot carry charge. Only substances that contain water have a pH balance. Our Vipstick formula is very gentle and moisturizing. It doesn’t affect the pH of your delicate skin.

Vipstick is a twist-up tube with a paper outer tube and a plastic inner tube with a cylinder.  When you are ready to use it, hold the inner plastic tube with one hand, and use the other hand to turn the bottom of the outer tube to raise the product inside the tube. Please remember to wipe the tip of the stick with a clean tissue before and after each use to ensure that any product that has come into contact with your skin is removed and that you are applying a fresh layer of the product to your skin each time.

The Unflavored Vipstick Serum doesn’t contain any fragrance to mask the natural scent and taste of plant extract oils, so it has a slightly bitter taste of botanical extracts. So, for oral sex, we recommended flavored options.  Currently, we offer 5 other flavor options in the Vipstick Serum Collection.

Vipstick Serum does not contain soy, any estrogen or hormone-altering ingredients, so you can use it safely. Because its safe and effective formula, it has helped many people with similar conditions as yours to regain their libido and sex life back.

We have received many testimonials from many of our customers who are cancer survivors. But instead of you scrolling through pages of customer reviews on our website, let me share three of them here with you.

“14 years ago, I had a hysterectomy due to ovarian cancer. At the age of 36, I woke up out of surgery in menopause. A whole lot of change at such a young age, to include vaginal dryness. I ordered the stick to add to the multitude of oral medications ointments and creams that I have tried. I am officially glad to say that I have thrown away all the other products that I had. This product works! I’m glad I ordered it!” ~ Dawn

“I’m using the products, hoping to reinvigorate my libido as well as polish up my lady bits. I have been ill for several years with long covid, starting not too long after a total hysterectomy. I do believe that Hygiene Hero Kit has really brought some life back. I will continue to use and be hopeful.” ~ Tricia A.

“I cannot go a day without mine. This stuff is gold in a stick. This is a MUST-HAVE, worth every penny… I had a baby and a radical hysterectomy in the last two years, I thought nothing would help but this stuff is magical.” ~ Trisha

Breastfeeding can make your body act menopausal and cause menopause-like symptoms such as low libido or vaginal dryness, so Vipstick Serum can provide relief for women in postpartum. But instead of taking our word for it, here is a review from Kelly, one of our customers about her experience with Vipstick Serum postpartum.

“Postpartum Perfection! I was feeling extremely down on myself when s.e.x. was difficult after having a baby and while breastfeeding. This product was an absolute GAME CHANGER for trying s.e.x. again postpartum. I love how it feels when it starts working and how much more comfortable it makes sex feel. If I could give it 10 stars, I would! My confidence and my s.e.x. life are back all thanks to this product.” ~ Kelly N.

Many customers who initially had challenges with this product found success after adjusting their application method as follows:

Go Slow And Adjust As You Go: It is important not to apply too much product each time or it may get too warm.  Because it varies a little bit for each person, some people are more sensitive than others. With time, you will know better and better how much product you need each time.

Application Details: For each application, you only need to glide the stick 3–4 times on the labia (especially in the inner labia) and clitoris to feel the effect. If you have sensitive skin, try on your facial lips first. If it feels ok, then glide stick only 1–2 times on your labia and massage it gently to spread the product into a thin layer on your skin.

Application Technique: Massage in circular motions or straight lines and you will feel the warming sensation almost instantly.  It works by boosting your circulation, so you will feel the blood flow increase in your libido and feel a warming sensation within seconds.

Note: Not massaging it and keeping a thick layer in a small concentrated area may cause over-warming, so gentle massaging to spread the product into a thin layer is important.

Vipstick Serum contains propolis. It is a resinous substance that bees collect from plants to build their hives. Propolis is known for its antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory and immune-building properties. Although it is not exactly an animal-derivative ingredient, we don’t claim it to be vegan. We leave it to individuals to determine what is right for them.

Menopause FAQs

During menopause, hormonal changes can affect the skin and lead to various skin issues. Some common skin changes during menopause include:

  • Dry skin: decreased estrogen levels can lead to dry, itchy skin.
  • Wrinkles: hormonal changes can lead to a decrease in collagen production, which can result in the development of fine lines and wrinkles.
  • Age spots: As skin ages, it can become more susceptible to sun damage, which can result in the development of age spots.
  • Sagging skin: Collagen production decreases during menopause, which can cause skin to lose its elasticity and firmness.

Menopause can lead to hormonal changes, particularly a drop in estrogen and testosterone, which are linked to sexual desire. Stress, fatigue, and mood changes often experienced during this time can also impact libido. Our products are designed to naturally support intimacy and desire.

In addition, it is also a skin-nourishing serum with collagen and powerful plant-based nutrients.  It hydrates, moisturizes, soothes, and helps release stress.

Vaginal dryness is a common symptom due to reduced estrogen levels during menopause. This can cause discomfort in daily life and intimacy. Our Perfect Pause V.V. Oil helps relieve dryness of the vulvar skin (exterior) with deep hydration, soothing relief, and long-lasting moisture retention. Our Vipstick Serum is designed to not only hydrate, but also help boost blood circulation and stimulate natural lubrication from within. Many of our menopausal customers said they no longer need lubricants when they use Vipstick Serum.

As we age, the skin of the labia can lose elasticity, become thinner, and may even shrink. This can affect appearance and cause discomfort. Our Perfect Pause V.V. Oil and Vipstick Serum are formulated to nourish and hydrate the skin, helping to improve elasticity, support skin health, and maintain a youthful texture.

Yes! Menopausal hormonal changes can lead to hyperpigmentation, dark patches, and uneven skin tone, particularly in intimate areas. Our Perfect Pause V.V. Oil and Vipstick Serum contain ingredients that help plump up skin for firmness and elasticity, brighten and even out skin tone, promoting a more radiant, healthy-looking complexion.

Our formulations are designed to enhance blood flow and promote natural arousal, helping to revive desire and improve sexual wellness. By addressing the root causes of low libido, Vipstick Serum can help you reconnect with your body and help you lubricate naturally from within.

All of our products are made with gentle, natural ingredients, free from harsh chemicals, fragrances, and irritants. They are specifically designed to be safe for sensitive skin, particularly for women experiencing menopausal changes.

For the best results, we recommend daily use. Both V.V. Oils and Vipstick Serum can be applied daily while our libido-boosting Vipstick Serum can also be used before intimacy or whenever you need an extra boost.

Yes, all our V.V. Oils and Vipstick Serums can relieve general skin dryness, itchiness, and irritation caused by hormonal changes during menopause. They are formulated to hydrate and soothe the skin, providing relief from discomfort.

Yes, Vipstick Serum and V.V. Oil contain 3xP Bi-Complex (peptides for collagen boost and plumper skin, plant extracts for skin brightening, ant-aging and line reduction, and postbiotics for a healthy microbiome balance). They are designed to improve elasticity and nourish aging labia skin, helping to counteract the shrinking and thinning of tissue that can occur during menopause. Regular use can help maintain skin vitality and suppleness.

Yes, our products can be used alongside HRT. They are designed to complement hormone therapy or provide a non-hormonal solution for those seeking natural ways to manage menopausal symptoms.

Yes, our products are designed to alleviate vaginal dryness and support skin health, making intimacy more comfortable. They can be used daily or before intimate moments to enhance both comfort and pleasure.

The unflavored ones do have a slight taste of the natural plant oil, so for oral sex, we recommend the flavored options for extra delight. You can find all six choices of Vipstick Serum and detailed description of each flavor Complete Vipstick Serum Collection.

To maintain healthy skin during menopause, it’s important to:

  • Moisturize regularly: use a moisturizer to hydrate the skin and reduce dryness.
  • Wear sunscreen: Protect the skin from sun damage by wearing a broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher.
  • Eat a healthy diet: A diet rich in vitamins and nutrients can help maintain healthy skin.
  • Quit smoking: Smoking can damage skin and accelerate aging.
  • Get enough sleep: Sleep is important for skin health, as it allows the skin to repair itself.
  • Exercise regularly: Exercise can improve circulation, which can help to nourish the skin and keep it healthy.
